Emma Rice (Born 1967) is an actor, director, and theatre professional who currently serves as joint artistic director of Kneehigh Theatre in Cornwall, England. In May 2015, it was announced that she would take over as Artistic Director of Shakespeare's Globe in London beginning in 2016.〔Gareth Vipers, (New Shakespeare's Globe artistic director named as Emma Rice ), London Evening Standard, 1 May 2015.〕 Rice was born in the city of Oxford and grew up in Nottingham.
